Clear terms for a gentle place.
This document governs the After, Slowly website, digital previews, journals, local reflection tools and community-submission features. The current public beta does not collect card details, create cloud accounts or publish user submissions automatically.
1. Terms & Conditions
1.1 Agreement and eligibility
By using the site you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1.2 What After, Slowly provides
After, Slowly offers original guided reflection journals, printable files, private browser-based tools, an editorial story archive, a memory map and a reflective oracle. These are creative and educational products, not therapy, diagnosis, medical care, crisis response, legal advice or financial advice.
1.3 Beta status and availability
The current site is a beta. Features may change, pause or be removed. Public submissions, cloud accounts and automated checkout are not active unless the relevant screen expressly says they are. A displayed price is an invitation to request an order, not confirmation that an order has been accepted.
1.4 Orders and payment
During beta, you may email a purchase request. An order exists only after you receive a written confirmation and secure payment link. Do not email card information. Payments, if enabled, are processed by the named third-party payment provider under its own terms. We may decline or cancel an order and will refund any amount collected for an unfulfilled order.
1.5 Digital delivery and licence
Unless stated otherwise, purchases are personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licences to use the supplied digital files for your own non-commercial reflection. You may print copies for yourself. You may not resell, redistribute, upload the files to shared libraries, remove ownership notices, train models on them, or present them as your work.
1.6 User content
You retain ownership of words and images you create. If you deliberately submit content for public display, you grant After, Slowly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reformat, moderate and display that content for operating and promoting the community feature. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and that the content does not expose another person’s private or sensitive information. You may request removal at the contact email.
1.7 Private and local tools
Content described as “on this browser” is stored on the device using browser storage. It is not encrypted cloud storage, may be visible to other users of that browser profile, and can be lost when browser data is cleared. Use a private device and export anything you need to keep.
1.8 Acceptable use
You may not misuse the site, probe or disrupt its security, automate abusive traffic, impersonate another person, upload malware, infringe rights, collect information about others, or post content that violates the Community Standards.
1.9 Safety
The Listening Room is unmonitored and cannot send help. If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services, go to the nearest emergency department, or tell a trusted person who can stay with you. External helplines and map services operate independently.
1.10 Intellectual property
The site design, journal text, prompts, illustrations, product names and original tools are owned by or licensed to After, Slowly. Third-party marks and cited sources remain the property of their owners. Citations do not imply endorsement.
1.11 Disclaimers and limitation
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise a particular emotional, health, career or relationship outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or reliance on a reflective prompt. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
1.12 Suspension and termination
We may restrict access or remove content where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or enforcement of these terms. Clauses concerning licences, intellectual property, liability and disputes survive termination where applicable.
1.13 Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without removing any mandatory protections or court rights you have under the law of your country of residence. We will first try to resolve complaints fairly by email.
1.14 Changes
Material changes will be dated on this page. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms; changes do not retrospectively reduce rights in completed purchases.
2. Privacy Notice
2.1 Data currently processed
The beta may process technical request data needed to deliver the page. Notes, drawings, private pins and uploaded previews are processed in your browser and stored locally unless a screen explicitly confirms an upload. Email enquiries are processed through the email provider used by both parties.
2.2 Purposes and legal bases
Data is used to operate and secure the site, answer enquiries, fulfil requested orders, comply with law, and—with your explicit choice—review a community submission. Depending on location, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests in secure operation, consent, or legal obligation.
2.3 Images and locations
Do not upload faces, IDs, private addresses or another person’s sensitive information. Public map stories should use approximate locations. Before any production upload feature is enabled, images must be re-encoded to remove ordinary metadata and submissions must be reviewed before publication.
2.4 Sharing and processors
Information is shared only with service providers necessary for hosting, email, maps or payment, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information. Map tiles and external links may receive standard technical request data under their own privacy notices.
2.5 Retention and security
Local data remains until you delete it or clear browser storage. Enquiry and order records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations. No system is perfectly secure; do not submit secrets or emergency information.
2.6 Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or removal of a public submission where applicable. Contact us from the address used for the request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
2.7 Children and international access
The service is not directed to children. Hosting, email and payment providers may process data in other countries using their contractual safeguards. We will update this notice before activating accounts or persistent cloud journals.
3. Refund Policy
No payment is taken by the current website. If a beta order is accepted manually, the confirmation will state the product, price, delivery format and payment provider before payment.
- You may request a refund within 14 days of payment by emailing the order address and reason.
- We will also replace or refund files that are materially defective, inaccessible, duplicated or not as described.
- Where local law gives stronger cancellation, withdrawal or conformity rights, those rights apply.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; processing time depends on the payment provider.
- Repeated fraudulent, abusive or duplicate refund claims may be refused where legally permitted.
4. Community Standards
The public Atlas and Cabinet are intended for thoughtful memories, joy, effort, change and honest reflection. Public posting is optional and subject to review.
- Share only content you created or have permission to use.
- Protect privacy: no private addresses, contact details, identifying medical information, non-consensual images or allegations about identifiable people.
- No threats, encouragement of self-harm, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, scams, spam, impersonation or illegal content.
- Do not use the site to contact, monitor or pressure another person.
- Use approximate public locations. Exact coordinates should remain private.
- Moderators may reject, edit for formatting, add a content note, anonymise, or remove a submission. Editorial examples are labelled and are not represented as customer stories.
- Report or request removal by emailing afterslowly.info@gmail.com with the page, reason and enough information to locate the content.
